UK minister: Algeria has to reconsider its security measures

Talking during an interview made to Echourouk , Britain’s Minister for the Middle East and North Africa Alistair Burt has lauded the efficiency shown by the Algerian security forces during the terrorist attack against the gas facility of Tiguentourine last January.

The minister has indicated that his visit to Algeria comes within the framework of the strengthening of the cooperation between the two countries in various sectors of activities especially after the elections that took place in the UK in 2010 and the visit of Abdelkader Messahel.

M Burt went on saying that discussions between the Algerian authorities and their British counterparts focussed on three major axis namely; fostering security cooperation, strengthening economic one and promoting the English language in Algeria.

There a project underway for the creation of an English school, this translates the British response to the majority of the Algerians that express their will to learn this language, the minister added.
