Unions call for the departure of the current cabinet to calm social anger

Various independent unions have laid the blame on the government for the latent social crisis that stirred the social front anger since three months.

  • In several declarations to Echourok, those unions have asserted that the outcome of this cabinet was “ vrey negative” adding that the regime” confronted to a historical chance to get out from a political chaos that lasted 20 years”
  • They have called on the Prime Minister to leave after failing short to address the social uprisings.
  • The Coordinator of the National Council of University Teachers, Abdelmalek Rahmani has indicated, in this respect, that the growing anger inside the universities that expanded to the streets was due to the lack of freedom of expression “ The decision makers have to open up the political scene for the benefit of a competitive university”.
  • The coordinator of the national council of high school teachers, Nouar Larbi has indicated that “the problem doesn’t lie in the minister but in the government’s strategy towards this sector”
  • He has further added” we don’t care about individuals but about a radical change of the system, be it through the change of the people or the laws”.
