“Unlucky” applicants for AADL projects can benefit from future program

The government Monday passed contracts by mutual agreement to build 23,500 houses as part of renting-sale formula after it had passed contracts to construct 45,000 houses, few days ago.

The Algerian housing minister Abdelmadjid Teboune plans to pass new deals in the next few days as he integrated new provisions to speed up the treatment of applications for AADL houses.

“The deals by mutual agreement were mostly granted to Chinese companies followed by Turkish and Spanish enterprises. The government will start to build 50,000 houses in the capital by the end of the year,” Teboune told Echorouk.

The minister signed on July 22nd a new decision to speed up the applications treatment and the achievement of the housing program.

The new decision stipulates that there will be new housing programs as the current planned houses are not sufficient for all the applicants. Once new housing programs are decided as part of the AADL project, a special committee will treat the remaining applications by chronic order.

According to the decision, applicants will pay less compared to previous programs as buyers will have to pay 5 percent of the first part of their preliminary contribution when they get the house key. They will also obtain the contract signed by the two sides.
