Vehicle Technical Control Agencies accused of causing Traffic accidents

Ministry of Transport warned, through sending an instruction to all agencies of technical control of vehicles on the national level, of being soft on auto control, after testing the involvement of more than 45 agencies in forging records and safety certificates for vehicles, causing a rising toll of traffic accidents due to the mechanical imbalances.

The Minister asserted on imposing strict penalties with a total closure and withdrawal of accreditation against all violators. The instruction that was sent by the Ministry of Transport to all agencies of technical control of vehicles, according to Echorouk sources, came after the Minister Amar Tou, received detailed reports of the gendarmerie and police and civil protection, which show, through the re-graphic representation of each traffic accident, the existance of technical flaws in cars that cause traffic accidents, what caused the rise in terror of the roads, which kill nearly 5.000 people and millions of injured annually, confirming the collusion between the technical control agencies, on one hand and car owners in many points of the national territory.

In a related context, ofdficial sources from the National Agency of Technical Control for cars, said in a phone conversation with Echorouk on Sunday; “The agency has provided for 60 Monitoring agencies across the entire national territory, because of the size of the abuses and manipulations that were committed by them, as they face the risk of withdrawal of accreditation if they fail to settle their situation.
