Vets to fight against illegal slaughtering houses in Algeria

A total of 120 vets across Algiers have been assigned by the agriculture department in close collaboration with the trade department to watch and supervise the selling of meat in different slaughter houses during the holly month of Ramadan, where incredulous are exposing this product to scorching sun in an unhealthy environment.

• This operation aims at regulating the market amid mounting illegal practices through the emergence of several selling points and slaughter houses deprived of basic hygienic rules.
