War Veterans’ certificates used to import counterfeit cars from France
The investigating judge of the third chamber of the court of Bir Mourad Rais, Algiers, is inquiring into the case of fraud in administrative documents regarding the acquisition of 10 cars imported from France, through forged documents. The owners of these cars were granted acceptance by the Directorate of Mines and Industry of Algiers despite the fact that they imported illegal cars.

Preliminary information, available to Echorouk, show that experts and engineers at the department of the mines and industry of Algiers are involved in this case, as they are in charge of controlling the cars and writing reports that are reference for the administrative services and Algerian registration cards, as well as administrative agents at the administrative services of Draria, Bouzaria, Harrache, Dar El Beida, Bab Elouad and Bir Touta, in Algiers.

Investigation did not reveal their identities yet, they are likely involved in the case by granting the owners of these cars forged documents, like the grey card as well as false serial numbers.

Investigation is also expected to reveal involved from the customs because the counterfeited cars that were imported from France passed through the customs before entering the Algerian territories.
