Washington includes “Mokhtar Belmokhtar” in the “Kill” list

United States decided to add the name of the Algerian Mokhtar Belmokhtar known a “Balawar”, in the list of people who pose a threat to its national security, and who should be liquidated after targeting three U.S. nationals in Tiguentourine terrorist attack.

The American newspaper “Wall Street Journal”, said on Saturday’s edition, that senior military officials from the U.S. intelligence services, suggested the inclusion of the name of the Algerian Mokhtar Belmokhtar, who claimed responsibility for the attack on gas base in Ain Amenas, in the confidential list for people who must be “killed.”
The newspaper quoted U.S. officials, who refused to reveal their identities, as saying that adding the name of Belmokhtar to this list, means expanding the field of military action of the United States in the north-west Africa, through the expansion of the region that was targeted by the drones and anti-terrorism operations, pointing out that this step would be the task of the armed troops special teams and CIA.
USA usually used drones in the liquidation of this type of enemies, as it did in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq, and this is why it rushed to prepare an agreement with the Government of Niger, to create a base for drones, to improve control on Islamic groups in the region, However, the U.S. the reason why does the U.S.government revealed the list of names to be “captured or killed” raises several questions, considering that the American administration has never done this in the past, since the 9/11 attacks.
The move comes only four days, following the issuance of a U.S. news report, which reveals that the United States was able to eliminate Belmokhtar 10 years ago, but orders were not given to kill or arrest him, because Belmokhtar did not attack U.S. companies or Americans.
Mokhtar Belmokhtar, is the former leader “of al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb”, and he split from it last October, and decided to form a battalion of his own called “Al Mowakioune Biddima” (The blood signatories). He has claimed responsibility for the Ain Amenas, followed by the kidnapping of employees, threatening to launch new attacks if France would not stop it war against Mali.
