“We will reply all AADL 2 applicants within two months,” says minister

Algerian housing minister Abdelmadjid Teboune Thursday said all the applications for the AADL 2 housing program will be replied within two months and a half as the number of technical employees at the AADL agency will be doubled.

“A total of 150,000 applications were replied as 5,000 were examined per day,” Teboune told reporters.

“The large number of applications needs time for examination. It is unbelievable that all the applications are replied in a week or two. Selected applicants can send their files via mail without prior appointment,” he added.

Selected applications conformity with data submitted in first subscription on the AADL website will be checked. “If there is a real conformity, applicants will get their houses. I congratulate every applicant whose data were accepted on the Internet and did not obtain any house. I am committed in the name of the government to grant him a house. Even if the number of selected applications is more than the number of offered houses, we will add an additional quota to satisfy all the requests.”

Speaking about “your application is in the process of examination” reply, Teboune said it is a question of time and applications are really in the process of examination and will be replied gradually.

He denied any link between the AADL 2 program and the electoral campaign, saying it is about satisfying people’s requests to get a decent house.

“The AADL’s employees are making doubled efforts to satisfy people’s requests. They have not got a day off for 4 months,” he added.
