Welfare benefits to relieve the suffering of 8 million poor in Algeria
Economic experts have evaluated the number of people eligible to receive welfare benefits from the Islamic fund to 8 million living under poverty threshold scattered over 444 municipalities across the country.
They have indicated that the commitment of the companies involved in the distribution of this welfare benefits will reduce the doldrums of more than 3 million families living in extreme poverty.
The member of the High Islamic Council Mamoun Al Kacemi considers that it is better if the State supplies these companies with the welfare benefits and assigns them the task to distribute them to the people in need.
In a declaration to Echourouk, the international economy expert Fares Messdour has indicated that a survey reveals that the number of the Algerian families living under poverty threshold has reached 3 million.
