Well-done conspiracy to shake Algeria’s stability, says Ouyahia
Secretary General of the National Rally for Democracy (RND) Friday said parties are behind troubles in the political and social arena. “They promote rumours to shake the State’s institution stability.â€
- “Algeria is sovereign and the International Monetary Fund has no control on it. There is no way loans for consumption can be resumed,” Ahmed Ouyahia told a news conference in Algiers.
- He believes that hidden parties are behind strikes in the health and education sectors, unjustified price explosion, Algeria’s inclusion in the US black list and rumours about the death of the President’s brother.
- “It is not normal that all those problems take place in a natural political condition far from electoral events. Why are the Nation’s institutions keeping silent over those rumours?” he said.
- He implicitly criticized the political arena silence over the rumours-making style meant to shake the stability of the State’s institutions.
- Loans for consumption will not be resumed
- Speaking about the IMF’s request to resume loans for consumption, Ouyahia said Algeria is an independent sovereign country and the Fund does not dictate any orders on it.
- “The IMF is against the government subsidies and asks to raise prices. We do not need its expert’s opinions.”
- “Our experience with experts showed that not any advice is respected.”
- Ouyahia added that the decision of anticipated debt payment was criticized but it helped Algeria to avoid a $2 billion loss.
- Colonisation criminalization bill turned into commercial register
- Ouyahia said the government will decide in the bill that would criminalize the 132-year French colonization of Algeria. “Those who presented the bill consider it as their own commercial register and they do not let the others see it.”
- France must be realistic
- Ouyahia criticized France’s attempts to give a negative image about Algeria. “Algerian French relations have existed since July 1962. Yet, realistic aspect must be founded on respect. “My party rejects any foreign attempt to intervene in the Sahel region.”
- “Algeria was angry on Mali because the two freed terrorists after the release of a French hostage have been always wanted by Algeria.”
- “Algeria has made efforts in the fight against terrorism in the Sahel region and played a role in a regional solidarity against this scourge.”
