Saudi authorities announced that they will impose fines between 26 million and 130 million centimes on late airlines in pilgrimage trips and fines between 10,000 and 15,000 Riyals on airlines which are late in scheduling trips.

Saudi Arabia’s civil aviation authority set July 23rd as deadline for schedules submission this season.

It made a strict decision to prevent airplanes mentioned in a black list set by the European Aviation Safety Agency if airlines do not take necessary measures to cancel the ban. This decision is meant to ensure the safety of passengers, Saudi air domain and the airports of Jeddah and Medina.

The Saudi civil aviation authority also decided to forbid airlines to transport women under 45 from travelling to Saudi Arabia without Mahram. Airlines which do not respect this decision will have to bring back the women to their countries.

Saudi authorities limited Zamzam water quantity to 5 liters for each pilgrim.

The first trips to the holy places in Saudi Arabia will start on September 7th
