Young Algerian slain by Libyan armed group
A Libyan armed group has savagely killed last Thursday in the province of Sebha an Algerian citizen from the province of Ouargla born to a Libyan woman. Abdelghani Ayadh ( 38) was married and had a son.
- Both the Algerian and Libyan authorities have not intervened to shed light on the details of the crapulous crime perpetrated by one of the Libyan militias that still hold sway on some parts of the Libyan areas.
- According to revelations made yesterday to Echourouk by his brother Abdelkader, the victim has left an 18 year old baby and an expecting widow in her fifth month of pregnancy still under the shock.
- His late brother left his home after the late night prayer heading for the locality of “ Brak Eshati” where his uncle lives in order to congratulate him in the wake of his return from pilgrimage, he went on saying.
- On his way back home alongside his friend, he took a shortcut to arrive early, but an armed group with two four- wheel drive cars chased them and shoots them from the back without knowing the identity of the passengers, he added.
- Abdelghani died on the operating table at hospital suffering from his injuries on the head and back while his companion has miraculously survived to what he qualified as a savage attack, noting that the assault was premeditated despite his calls towards the criminals for mercy.
- The news of the killing of Abdelghani left the community awestruck. He was buried in Sidi Hamed cemetery at Sebha.
- The criminals belong to Al Megarha tribe known to be loyal to the former president Moamar Al – Queddafi who surrendered to the new Libyan authorities that left them free of all movements.
- The tribe is trying to broker a deal with the victim’s family though Algerian intermediaries from Sebha, but their request was turned down.
