General Manager of the group “Cevital”, Yassad Rabrab, told Echorouk, that his company is launching the establishment of a large company for manufacturing iron and steel in the industrial zone “Bellara”, east of Al Milia, Jijel, east of Algeria, with an annual production of 5.1 million tons of the new iron products.

• “The largest project ever, will cost $3 billion and will allow Algeria to move from an importer to exporter of the iron and steel products. The company “Cevital” has the sufficient financial capacities which will allow it to implement this strategic investment”, he says.

• The complete file of the project was presented at the ministry of industry and investment promotion, wishing to be approved by the national council for investment in order to launch the project which will use American technologies in the field of iron and steel and techniques of the direct reduction using the natural gas and electric furnaces. The company will also include three main units for the production of various types of iron and steel, particularly construction iron, which is imported currently by Algeria with the volume of 80%, as well as iron lines and products, which are used in mineral constructions.
