10 million Algerians likely to build houses in water dam heights

More than 10 million people are expected to live in housing compounds located at the heights of water dams or groundwater storing houses by 2010, a new study finds.

• The study shows that 70 percent of the Algerian population live in coasty areas where 91 percent of iron and steel, mechanical, electronic and metal industries are based.
