1,000 additional cops to facilitate passengers’ movement in ports and airports

New measures to facilitate the movement of persons across the border points of ports and airports across the national territory were launched on Sunday, by the Director of the Border Police, at the National Police Department, Chief of Police, Lazrag El Ghali, on the occasion of the season the summer.

Teams that are strongly placed were supported with additional elements which number exceeds 1,000 police officers, to respond to the dynamic and to ensure speed in processing the entry and exit of passengers, until next September.

Lazrag Ghali said, in a press conference on the occasion of the opening days on awareness on the Border Police at the Airport of Houari Boumediene, where Maj. Gen. Abdelghani Hamel, Director General of National Security, inaugurated the opening of the summer season.

National Police department took a series of measures to facilitate the movement of citizens and foreigners.

Director of the Border Police asserted that in anticipation of this movement, the ranks of members of the Border Police’s 11,547 elements, and 1,000 new items who were recruited from various departments and other wilayas that do not know a great mobility in the summer season.
