The German authorities are planning to adopt a new action plan to deal with foreign nationals with on prime focus the undocumented migrants now residing illegally on German territory.

As a matter of fact, the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), the party of German Chancellor Angela Merkel  is poised to address the pending cases of Algerians, Moroccans and other asylum seekers from safe countries to house them in shelter centers.

According to figures issued last December, no less than 2,300 Algerian and 3000 Moroccan asylum seekers were registered in Germany while in 2014, they were less than 4000 people in all.

Furthermore, the Department of the German Interior Ministry has accused Algeria of showing a lack of cooperation in hosting its nationals facing deportation from Germany.

According to “Deutsche Welle”, a German public radio, the German authorities consider that Algeria and Morocco are safe countries, therefore they can receive back their citizens, stressing that this will ease the expulsion procedures of undocumented migrants and those whose asylum-request was turned down.

For its part, “Der Spiegel” a German news magazine, revealed in its Saturday edition that owing to a lack of cooperation by the countries concerned, out of the 5,500 Algerian, Moroccan and Tunisian illegal migrants who have received their deportation orders, the German authorities were able to expel in fact only 53 people during the first half of 2015.
