$25bn Non Hydrocarbons Investment in the Last Five Years in Algeria
Non hydrocarbon investments hit 25 billion US dollars in the last five years in Algeria, chief executive of the National Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Trade (ALGEX), Abdelkrim Mensouri, said Wednesday.
Speaking at a conference held by the Employers Forum, Mr Mensouri underlined that Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in 2011 multiplied three times comparing to 2010, saying such investments are among the 7900 projects launched in 2011 in the sectors of industry, pharmaceutical industry, foodstuff industry and construction materials.
He further added that 33 percent of the 25 billion dollar investments in the last five years were not concerned by the 49/51 rule.
