- This positive development came during a ceremony held on Wednesday at the main police school of Chateauneuf in upper Algiers coinciding with the celebration by the Algerian and Arab police forces of Arab police day across the Arab countries.
- In his keynote address made on this solemn occasion, General Abdelghani Hamel said the promotion of these numerous dutiful police agents was based on merit, sustained efforts and abnegation at the service of the motherland.
- The decision to promote to higher rank these meritorious police agents was taken after a detailed and in-depth study of the professional file of each of them by the relevant senior departments, he stressed.
