45 Egyptian publishers miss Algeria book fair
A total of 45 Egyptian publishers have cancelled their participation in the 13th edition of Algeria’s International book fair due to start Monday because of fret problems.

The publishers say their books did not arrive due to fret problems between Egypt and Italy. A number of foreign publishers’ books arrived late as well.

According to foreign publishers representatives, Algerian authorities are not to blame for problem.

They also praised this edition’s organization.

“We used to spend a whole day to get over with bureaucracy procedures but all was done in one hour this year.”

The organizing committee limited this year the number of copies per title exhibited for each publisher to 100.

Computers, softwares and CD-ROMs are not allowed in the fair as decided this year also.
