47 Syndical Branches threaten to launch collective withdrawal from the Central Syndicate
Conflict in the syndicates of the General Union of Algerian Workers intensified with the approach of the 12th Congress, as the warring parties want to impose control over the largest possible number of federations and syndical branches, in order to gain their support in the upcoming Congress.
National Union of the National Office of Housing, which belong to the General Union of Algerian Workers, condemned the interventions that were described as the non-legal acts by the Secretary-General of the Federal of Workers of Banks and Insurance in the work of the Syndicate, and the 47 branches of the Syndicate threaten of a collective resign from the Central Syndicate, and to join the National Independent Syndicate of the Users of Public Administration “SNAPAP”.
These developments come in the wake of the overthrow of the Secretary-General of the National Federal of workers of Banks and insurance, Zoubir Mohammed, to the Secretary-General of the National Syndicate of the National Housing Fund, Tadjer Moussa, and assigning the so called Kaddisi Sheikh, with tasks of the Secretary-General in interim.
