Illegal immigration towards the Italian coasts is back again, as 48 Algerian illegal immigrants reached Sardinia Saturday night on board of two fishing boats, including two women and a kid, the Italian news agency said quoting a source from the Italian Coast Guards.

Same source added that a rescue team belonging to the Italian Coast Guards intervened Saturday midnight after they were notified about the existence of two boats at sea.

The first boat was intercepted in the region of Capo Teulada southeast of Cagliari carrying 27 illegal immigrants all of them are male adults, while the second boat was intercepted after two hours carrying 21 illegal immigrants, including two women and a kid. The Italian coast guards used a helicopter to escort the boat because of the presence of two women and the kid.

Same sources asserted that the 48 illegal immigrants said during the hearings that they are Algerians and that their adventure begun from an Algerian coast.
