5 days to get visa to France

French consulate in Algeria announced it reduced reply and appointment fixing duration to Algerian applicants for visas to 5 days only starting from September 20th. Visas will remain valid for 5 years instead of 4 years.

The easing measures will enable Algerians to easily get visas and they will be granted a 6-month-visa or have to visit France for 90 days. They will not have to apply for visa once again on every visit to France or any other country in Shengen space.

According to sources, more than 120,000 Algerians got visa in January-June this year from three consulates. Out of 100 applications, about 80 were accepted. A total of 1,825 visas were granted to students.

Those figures will be announced by the General Consul of the French embassy in Algiers in the next few days.

Earlier, Paris called on its consulates abroad including the French consulate in Algeria to ease visas getting procedures for competences and talents.
