52 victims swindled by woman living in slums
The public prosecutor of the municipality of Hussein Dey, Algiers has remanded in custody a woman born in 1969 along with two civil servants on charges of false pretence, swindling and theft.

The culprits were taking the money of desperate citizens from them pretending they can help them acquire a house.

The lady was arrested the day before yesterday by the elements of the gendarmerie after 6 months of thorough investigations. She succeeded convinced her victims by pretending that she owns a real estate agency and was a successful businesswoman.

But reality is that the lady lives the slums and her husband use to sell gold in a popular compound here in Algiers.

She has swindled nearly 52 individuals over to years most of the victims are women. 15 women and 5 men yesterday appeared before the prosecutor including culprit’s uncle (80) whom she stole more than 15 million Algerian Dinars.
