60 Algerian Activists Partake In Freedom Flotilla II To Gaza, Mokri

Head of the North African delegation in the Freedom Flotilla II said 60 Algerian activists are to take part in this trip to break the siege of Gaza.

Mr Abderezak Mokri told Echorouk reporter that the humanitarian trip has been delayed to next 2 July due to the breakdown of some participating Greek ships, adding that the members of the International Campaign to Break the Siege on Gaza (ICBSG) are due to meet on Friday to discuss the situation and set final the kick-off of the Flotilla.

Several Algerian MPS and citizens, in addition to two journalists from Echorouk, are all taking part in the Flotilla, as Echorouk newspaper will ensure media promotion of this adventure.

Mr Mokri added that the Flotilla is composed of 9 ships carrying participants from 40 nations, in addition to two cargo ships carrying tons of medicines and sophisticated medical apparatus, in addition to construction materials banned from entering Gaza by Israel.

The second Flotilla of Freedom will be a political and media campaign in bid to open a permanent, free and secured port to Gaza, amid threats of Israeli occupation forces to block the Flotilla in the international waters, Mr Mokri concluded.
