Abderrazak Mokri: “New Family Law is a response to international pressure”

Head of the Movement for Peaceful Society, Abderazak Mokri, criticized in a press conference in Oran (western Algeria), the new family law.

“It is an explicit invitation to disperse and dismantle the Algerian family.”
“Same law is a dictation and legislation by foreign countries, and a response to the ongoing pressures. The law  aimed in its contents to create problems in the society by hitting the family structure in the core. Domestic violence exists among delinquents and not among all individuals.”
“Islamic Sharia honors the woman and makes of her the basis of the cohesion and unity of the community. Islam also addressed this issue realistically, and the family system in Islam is considered an institution and fundamentally different from the family in the West.”
“Ratification of the law by the Parliament, from which Green Algeria Bloc withdrew, came illegally. Legislation of laws is in regular cases and not abnormal situations as is the case with this law. This law gives the judge the right to conduct the family. Solution to the problems of the family and protecting it comes through education and dialogue.”
“Repercussions of the situation in the south and the military intervention in Ain Saleh, expresses the failure of the political power and the government to consider the file. Opposition has nothing to do with this failure.”
