We give strong strikes against terrorist groups, and we eliminate a part of them during large operations, most recently in Kasserine, and we eliminate on a number of them, and we have implemented other operations in El Kef and Djendouba, then we were able to impose a large cordon on logistical back up cells.

Candidate Bedji is facing major threats since a period, even before running for elections, and he was subject of a threat. In the recent period, there was a threat against the electoral path, which means the threat against personalities, citizens and electoral centers, and this threat prompted us to provide all the security requirements for him, and we strengthened precautions for the candidates. Talking about foiling a plot to assassinate Bedji Kaid Essebsi, this is not true, but the increasing level of threats forced us to take tighter security precautions.

We’re talking about the situation on the border comprehensively in the context of the Algerian-Tunisian relationships, which are almost perfect at the security level, and it developed day by day, and we benefit from the experiences of our brothers in Algeria in the fight against terrorism. We are in constant field and direct coordination between intelligence services, and centralized coordination between the major organs in Algeria and Tunisia. We consider it an ideal coordination, and cooperation that we will eliminate these terrorists.
