Traffic accident kills 20 in Algeria

A total of 20 people were killed and 42 were injured Tuesday in a car accident in the province of Laghouat (south of Algiers).

The accident took place when a collision happened between two buses. One of them was coming from the province of Oran (west of Algiers) heading for the province of Adrar (south of Algiers). The second bus was coming from Laghouat to the province of Aflou. The bus driver coming from Oran overtook a drag casing a direct and violent crash. Pieces of the victims’ bodies were scattered everywhere.

Fourteen people of the victims were male. Some of them were coming home to spend the Eid with their family.
