Ghoulamallah pardons 30 Imams who ignored the funeral prayers
Religious Affairs and Endowments Minister, Boualem Ghoulamallah, issued decision to pardon 30 Imams in Setif, eastern Algeria, after referring them to the discipline investigation committees, against the backdrop of refusing to perform the funeral prayers following the tragedy of the military plane crush in Djebel Fertas near the city of Ain M’lilla, eastern Algeria state, as 77 people were perished, mostly soldiers and military families, Echorouk sources said.
Decision to pardon and abolition of firing a number of imams, who are active within the social network, came after they submitted arguments of not notifying about the matter, from the Directorate of Religious Affairs, as the decision was welcomed by the concerned who told Echorouk that this decision falls within the measures of calling for calm and dedicating tolerance between members of the community.
