Former head of RCD (Rally for Culture and Democracy) party, Dr. Said Saadi, visited the judge of misdemeanors at the Court of Hussein Dey (Algiers), accompanied by a number of chieftains from the area of Aghrib, Daira of Azeffoun in Tizi Ouzou (Eastern Algiers), to present him as a civil party and accept his companions as witnesses that are recognized in the case, which is related to the statements of Ismail Mira, son of the martyr Abderrahman Mira.

Said Saadi said Mira’s statements are false and affect the family. At the time his request was accepted by his lawyer Chayeb Sadek, and the defense of Mira presented a medical file to justify the reason for the absence of his client in the trial because he was sick, asserting that the defendant has all the material documents to prove cooperation of Said Saadi’s father with the French colonial authorities.

Mira sticks by his statement regarding the father of Said Saadi, who says that he was sentenced to death for cooperating with colonialism against the revolution. This speech was made ​​by Ismail Mira for the program “The missed link” (Al Halka Al Mafkouda) which is presented by Mohamed Yakoubi at Echorouk TV, then it was published by the newspaper “Djaridati” by Hichame Abboud, under the title: “Father of Said Saadi is a Harki (traitor), as he was sentenced by the ALN”.

A complaint was deposited against Ismail Mira last summer before the prosecutor at the Court of Hussein Dey, by the family of the former RCD leader, who are four brothers and a sister, then Said Saadi joined them on Tuesday.

Four chieftains from Aghrib region aged between 60 and 80 years were accepted as formal witnesses to explain the allegation against Said Saadi’s father.

Said Saadi was angry on Tuesday and insisted on the prosecution against Ismail Mira, and Echorouk TV, and “Djaridati” newspaper.

Second case will be considered on December 28, concerning statements by Mira in the “missing link” (Al Halka Al Mafkouda) TV program by Mohamed Yakoubi, which was broadcast is three historical parts with Ismail Mira who raised a large controversy inside and outside Algeria.
