Algeria coach Vahid Halilhodzic has published a list of 26 players called up for a training camp ahead of the qualifying campaigns for the 2014 World Cup and the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations contests.

• The national team will carry our preparations at the Algiers-based Sidi Moussa training centre between May 26 and June 21, 2012.
• Rising home-based star Djamel Benlamri of NA Hussein Dey makes his debut with the Algeria outfit while French Ligue 2 Reims’ top scorer Kamel Ghilas returns to the team as well as Portuguese Vitoria Guimaraes striker Hillal Soudani.

• The Greens of Algeria will host a friendly against Niger on May 26 before facing Rwanda on June 2 and Mali on June 9 in the second round of the 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.

• On June 15, the Algeria squad will play Gambia in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

• It is still unclear where the Mali-Algeria encounter will be held on June 9. Fifa says its decision will be made known this week, after the Algeria FA requested the venue to be moved from Bamako following renewed political violence there.
