Iraqi Islamic Resistance Front spokesman to Echourouk : The US departure from Iraq was not a gift

The spokesman of the Iraqi Islamic Resistance Front has asserted, in an exclusive interview with Echourouk that the US withdrawal from Iraq was due to the relentless fight waged against the US troops by the militants.

  •

  • He has indicated that the number of the military operations has reached 326 thousands to the end of the year 2009. The spokesman has also talked about the country’s future prospects, noting that the militias backed by the Iranian regime will be disarmed.

  • Echourouk: What about the future of the armed resistance in Iraq?

  • Spokesman: The role of the resistance will remain key after the departure of the US troops from Iraq. They will take part in the rebuilding of the country and assure social stability of the country.

  • Echourouk: What about the Iraqi government?

  • Spokesman: The political roadmap drawn by the colonizers has engulfed the country in corruption and left room for the Iranian regime to carry out its “Machiavelli” scheme which is based on marginalization and ethnic cleansing. Iraq natural resources have been dilapidated and corruption has become the standard to follow. World Transparency ranked the country second in the world in terms of corruption.

  • Echourouk: Does Al Qaeda still pose a threat against Iraq?

  • Spokesman: Al Qeada is infiltrated by several parties including the Iranian regime and Al Maleki in Iraq. The two parties have targeted the Arab symbols and figures that opposed the presence of the Iranians in Iraq.

  • Echourouk: Is there any link between Ezzat Edoueri and the movements of resistance?

  • Spokesman: Most of the Islamic Iraqi movements have no link with neither with Ezzat Edoueri nor with Al Baath party.

  • Echourouk: What do you think about the support expressed by Al Maliki’s government toward Al Assad’s regime?

  • Spokesman: There isn’t a clear and unified vision within Al Maliki’s government toward this issue. Al Maliki stands by the Syrian regime under pressure of the Iranian government, while Al Maliki and his followers were, in a recent past, accusing the Syrian regime of exporting crisis to Iraq. As to the Iraqi resistance, it is clear that it stands by the Syrian people.
