Call phone saves 8 illegal immigrants from death
Spanish coast guards Sunday saved eight Algerian illegal immigrants from death in the city of Almeria following a phone call from them, Echorouk has learnt.
- Coast guards’ relief centre received a phone call through the number 112. The caller spoke in French and said a boat carrying illegal immigrants found difficulties in the Spanish coasts.
- According to the same source, the coast guards started a search operation using two speed boats and a helicopter. The illegal immigrants were localised after 30 minutes of searching.
- The Algerian illegal immigrants received first-aid treatment by the Red Cross and were put under medical supervision.
