A Broad Algerian Popular Front To Reject Normalization With Zionists

A host of Algerian political parties and many Algerian personalities have firmly denounced the normalization of relations between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Zionist entity, calling the agreement between the two countries a stab in the back of the Palestinian cause and a total betrayal.
The Freedom and Justice Party has strongly condemned the “normalization of relations” agreement between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel, describing it as a “new punch” in the body of the Arab nation and a “betrayal” of the Palestinian cause, the party said in a statement posted on its Facebook page.

In the same context, it stressed that the agreement to normalize relations was a blatant violation of the Arab League charter, calling for the restoration of the Syrian Arab Republic’s comprehensive representation in the Arab Organization.

The Freedom and Justice Party also called for the firm support of the brotherly Palestinian people financially, militarily and politically.

For its part, the National Liberation Front (FLN) party received, with severe condemnation, the news of the signing of the so-called peace agreement between the United Arab Emirates and the usurping Zionist entity, which constitutes a stab in the back of the Palestinian cause and a betrayal in its own right, denounced the party in a statement issued on Friday on its Facebook page.

The FLN considers that linking this sinister agreement to the illusory success of the postponement of the plan to annex certain Palestinian lands will not convince anyone and will not justify this shameful position, which history will forever retain as an affront.

The FLN denounced the silence of the various actors on the Arab scene, despite the fact that this sinister agreement is a violation of the Arab Peace Agreement, which conditions the normalization of relations to the complete withdrawal of the Israeli entity from the territories occupied since 1967, a condition weakened by the unilateral announcement of the United Arab Emirates.

The Movement of the Society for Peace (MSP) said in a statement released on its Facebook page that the decision taken by the UAE in full and open coordination with the head of the Zionist entity and the President of the United States of America reveals an old approach by the leaders of that country, a decision that would support the arrogance and injustice of the Israeli occupier.

The MSP believes that this agreement can in no way stop the illegal Israeli settlements, denouncing a shameful position. The MSP therefore calls on all Arab and Islamic governments to condemn this worrying agreement and to adopt strict official positions towards the leaders involved.

The party also called for an immediate meeting of the Arab League and the Arab Parliament to unite against this normalization that serves the Zionist project and harms the Palestinian cause, as well as against the policies of the Emirates’ leaders that threaten the security and stability of the Arab world, explained the same statement.

In the camp of the republican parties, only the National Democratic Rally (RND) through its SG Tayeb Zitouni expressed its rejection “in substance and in form” of the “peace agreement” between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Zionist occupation, reiterating its firm position in favor of the Palestinian cause, until the Palestinian State regains its independence, with Al-Quds as its capital.

During an audience granted to the ambassador of the State of Palestine, Amine Makboul, at the party’s headquarters in Algiers, RND Secretary General Tayeb Zitouni said that the purpose of this meeting was to renew the pact and reiterate the position of the party and through it, its national office, all its activists and elected institutions that rally as “one man to respond to any ill-considered initiative aimed at breaking our unity and support for the Palestinian issue.

It should be noted that only Louisa Hanoune’s Workers’ Party has taken a firm stance in calling on Algeria to “withdraw from the League of Arab States”.

At the same time, the retired Algerian diplomat Lakhdar Ibrahimi launched an initiative to reaffirm the support of several personalities for the Palestinian cause. Among these personalities are the two former Algerian Foreign Ministers, Ramtane Lamamra and Mohamed Bedjaoui, as well as the former Minister of Communication, Abdelaziz Rahabi, and former ministers and diplomats from Mauritania, Tunisia, Morocco and Iraq, in addition to the former Secretary General of the Arab League, Amrou Moussa and personalities such as Djamila Bouhired Lakhdar Bouregâa and Hanane Ashraoui.

Al in all, the Algerian Popular Front for Resisting Normalization with the Zionist Entity confirmed that its initiative remains open to all forces and personalities to join in its rightful endeavor.
