Abdelaziz Djerad Receives Portugal’s Foreign Minister

Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad received, on Wednesday, the Portuguese Foreign Minister Augusto Santos Silva to discuss cooperation and regional files such as the Western Sahara issue, the Libyan crisis and the situation in the Sahel region.

A Foreign Ministry statement affirmed that Augusto Santos Silva’s visit to Algeria “comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral political dialogue and broadening the foundations of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.”

The statement added that the meeting also dealt with preparing for the upcoming bilateral meetings, especially the sixth session of the Algerian-Portuguese high-level meeting.

The Portuguese Prime Minister will also be received by his Algerian counterpart, Sabri Boukadoum.
