Abdelaziz Djerad’s Government Plans To Erase The Effects Of The Pandemic

The government amendment approved by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tabboune, on Tuesday evening, carried a technical-economic character, which showed the strategic sectors that the country will rely on for the post-COVID19 phase.

The President’s plan for the next stage, according to observers, is based on a careful restructuring of the government sectors that depend on the digitization of all sectors and the return of the e-government project, accurate statistics that eliminate the crisis of phantom numbers in Algeria and strategic partnerships to develop mining industries that are expected to be realized with China, and a greater interest in agriculture, tourism, energy and transportation.

The lapses in the conduct of the situation during the past six months resulted in strict decisions by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tabboune, to map out the features of the post-Covid19 map of Algeria, and remedy the economic effects of the pandemic.

The crisis of red meat in Ramadan and the absence of accurate statistics on the number of livestock and the lack of realistic figures in all sectors are behind the creation of the Statistics Ministry.

The President also instructed his ministers to rely on technological applications and digitize their sectors to reduce time, effort and the economy of money, and monitoring everything that happens remotely and from offices to prevent the excesses behind the development of the Digital Ministry to devote the new e-government with applications through which the Education Minister monitors educational institutions from his office and the students ’parents follow their children through a technological application, and the Interior Minister controls the governors and mayors through the implementation of an application, and the President follows the situation in all sectors 24 hours a day through accurate applications that show all the details.

In his reading of the ministerial amendment approved by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tabboune, Mr Abdelkader Barriche, Professor of Economic Governance, believes that the Djerad’s government came to give a faster dynamism to the work of the government after 6 months passed since the appointment of the first government, to bring more harmony to its work, whereas, the restructuring of the new government revolves around the strategic files for which the President of the Republic attaches great importance, especially the Ministry of Statistics and Digitization and its promotion to the rank of a self-standing ministry, and the Ministry of Renewable Energy and Energy Transformation given the importance of this sector.

“The creation of a special ministry for mines is also a major concern of the President of the Republic in developing this important sector, especially as it relates to rare metals and soils”, professor Barriche said.

“The appointment of Professor Chitour to the head of this ministry will make him more cost-effective than the Ministry of Higher Education, and we believe that he will provide the qualitative addition due to his specialization, studies and research in this field”.
