Abdelfattah Mouro: “Tunisia Will Not Normalize Relationships With Israel”
Vice-President of the Tunisian Annahdha Movement, Abdelfattah Muorou, minimized, in Echorouk Forum, the media and political aura that dealt with the absence of the Palestinian cause in the speech of Sheikh Rachid Ghannouchi, at the opening of the Tenth Congres, justifying the fact that the speech focused on the reality of Tunisia, and did not address generally to the foreign policy, adding that the goal was to highlight the new trends that are posed by the movement in its political career, with diagnosing the internal situation of the country.
He confirms that the Palestinian cause is the nation’s central cause, which exists in the programs, policies, literature and the struggles of Annahdha movement, and will never be a way for manœuvres or tactics.
In a related context, Abdelfattah Mourou confirmed the entry of the Jewish Israelis to Tunisia in recent days, saying that the phenomenon is old and is not an emergency, but it was not known before the revolution, because it is related to the state’s security, but now everything is clear.
“They entered the Tunisian territory as Jews who came to perform religious rituals, and not as Israelis, and their passports were seized, so as not to be stamped on behalf of Tunisia, and they received the papers for temporary entry as individuals, so as to prevent the normalization with the Zionist entity. The incident in this way does not carry any political indication. The Israël position will not change”.
Vice-President of Ennahdha movement, and unlike many of the nation’s scholars, believes that the issue of the prohibition of travelling to Al-Aqsa Mosque under occupation, is an issue that is manipulated to exploit the feelings of Muslims, asserting that it depends on the purposes, and if the aim was to support the Palestinians and sensitize them that they are not alone in the face of the enemy, he does not mind that he has, wishing on a personal level that he’ll have the conditions to pray at the third holiest shrine.
