“The effects of the crimes committed by the French colonialism against the defenceless Algerian people still witness the horror and scale of destruction and devastation”, he added.
President Tebboune confirmed that “the signs of victory that appeared in the sky of struggling Algeria on that glorious day was an inevitable date that the epic struggle of the Algerian people had led to.”

On the occasion, the President of the Republic called for the necessity to protect the national memory; “I recall the state’s responsibility to review this file with the utmost seriousness and perseverance.”
“We have taken important steps and registered positive signs, especially concerning retrieving the archives and recovering the skulls of the leaders of the Popular Resistance”.
He affirmed the authorities insistence on preserving memory, indicating that this is among the top priorities for achieving the desired goal in this endeavour.
“I recall with you the most meaningful and majestic moments that we lived on July 5 by burying the heroes who led the popular resistance.”
In his message, President Tebboune added, “Follow-up must be constant to clarify the fate of the missing in the liberation revolution and to compensate the victims of nuclear tests.”
Regarding the upcoming election date, June 12th, the President of the Republic called for pursuing fair competition.
“Today we are all called to make a radical rupture with the shameful and scandalous practices.”
“We must move firmly and resolutely to fight corruption and expose the intentions and endeavours of the corrupt and their remnants.”
President Tebboune resumed his message saying; “I am certain that the Algerian people will mobilize to build a state of right and law.”
