The Movement for‭ Society ‭of Peace announced officially its decision ‭not participate in ‭the coming government, in ‭a written and brief letter that was sent Monday by the head of the movement Abou ‭Djarra Soltani to the President Abdelaziz Bouteflika‭. ‬

The letter, available to Echorouk, said: “I ask you to formally exempt the Movement for Society of Peace, from the membership of the coming executive chamber, and to consider the movement as not concerned with the next government,” which means that the decision entered its phase of implementation, and thus it will overthrow the legitimacy in the future of representing anyone in the coming government, on behalf of the party, ‭as a senior official in the movement, who preferred not to disclose his identity, told Echorouk‭.

MSP Shura Council has approved by an overwhelming majority on Saturday night to Sunday, to suspend the participation in the coming government, thus unveiling the phase that extended over more than 16 years, and that was characterized by the permanent presence of ministers from the movement of the late Nahnah in successive governments.

Movement of Society for Peace accused the authority of failing to realize on the promises they have made, first and foremost ensuring the organization of legislative, transparent and fair elections, while it considered its decision to leave the government as a natural action to what it sees as fraud that marred the electoral process.

However, observers to the situation think that the resolution is a “cunning trick” by the movement, designed to anticipate the logical “expulsion” from the government, as a result of decline in their representation in 10 May, and thus went out victorious from a political and media battle, that will affect the internal cohesion.
