Abu Yahia Libi gives priority to the Djihad in Algeria instead of Palestine
In a video tape message posted on the internet and relayed by most of the Islamist web sites, one of the outstanding “Al Qaeda†figures Abu Yahia Libi tried to contain the organization’s activities in Algeria arguing that Oussama ben Laden and Aymen Azaouahiri are loosing ground in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The message implicitly carries a message intending to transform Algeria into a rear base for the terrorists’ activities. Abu Yahia Libi makes of the Djihad (fighting) in Algeria a top priority to crush, according to him, the despotic regimes in the Maghreb countries.
-
-
He stressed the focus in the message on the so called “Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb” led by Abdelmalik Droudkel legitimizing his leadership and activities considering that “ Djihad in Algeria was legitimate against the decision makers”.
-
-
He nonetheless didn’t mention the western targets and war against the “crusaders” as it was the case in the previous preaches released by “Al Qaeda”. However, he made of the Arab leaders the terrorist groups’ main targets using the word “colonialism” in Libya, Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria denying talking about the Zionist colonialism and the violation of the Palestinian soil.

The message entitled “Between the parents’ sacrifice and the sons’ faithfulness” calls on the Maghreb people to support Droudkel’s followers inside and outside the country based in Morocco, Mauritania, Tunisia and Libya according to security forces.

Droudkel’s followers seek help from the Mauritanian poets to refurbish their image
-
-
In a bid to uplift the spirits of the terrorists, Abu Yahia Libi addresses Droudkel’s followers saying “ Your are among the elect people, be sure that you are right stay firm in order to meet your God”
-
Failing to find a religious argument to justify the terrorists’ deeds, he called on the poets, men of letters and other outstanding Mauritanian figures to find this legitimacy.
-
-
He concluded calling on the Islamic Maghreb Champions in Algeria, Mauritania, Niger, Mali, Libya, Tunisia and Morocco to stand as one because security forces have gathered their troops.
