Africa Cup of Nations 2013: “Gambia 1-2 Algeria”
In the Qualifiers played on Wednesday in various parts of the African continent for the next Africa cup of nations contest due to be hosted in 2013 by South Africa, the Desert Foxes of Algeria snatched a meritorious 2- 1 away victory over The Gambia squad in Banjul.
- The Scorpions of Gambia took the lead through Modou Cee-Say but the late sting came from the Algerian visitors as defender Antar Yahia and striker Sofiane Feghouli scored second-half goals to seal a well-deserved victory in Banjul.

- The return legs of all these qualifying matches will be played on the weekend of June 15th and 17th, with the second and final qualifying round starting in September 2012.
- Fifteen national teams will then join hosts South Africa at the next Africa Nations Cup tournament slated for January 2013.
