AIR Algérie CEO dismissed
Ouahid Bouabdallah, CEO of Air Algérie, the state run air carrier has been dismissed today the board of directors, convened today at the ministry of transportation.The decision comes amid dispute between the unions and the management. The cabin crew went Wednesday on strike that disrupted domestic and international flight schedules in all Algerian airports. The CEO’s attitude towards the move was not to facilitate dialogue which speeded his dismissal by the authorities. Mohamed Salah Boultef, current CEO of Tassili Airlines, Carrier owned by the oil and gas company, Sonatrach is expected to take over.
