Al Aqsa mosque preacher Sheikh Ikrima Sabri to Echorouk: “The Sunni-Shiite conflict is an American Agendaâ€
The damaging conflict between the Sunnis and Shiites and the escalation of violence do not serve the Muslims’ interests, Sheikh Ikrima Sabri says in Echorouk forum.

Al Aqsa mosque Preacher asserted: “Despite his disagreement with the doctrines of the Shiites, they have existed since fourteen centuries, living within the confines of all the Muslim countries, that’s why talking about their extermination or confrontation would lead to genocide and civil wars and this is unreasonable. The USA encourages this conflict today and invests in order to weaken the two parties at issue. There is no interest for Muslims in this hostility, but on the contrary it serves the occupation forces and consolidates their presence in the occupied Arab countries, while Muslims are increasingly dispersed and weakened”.

The distinguished guest of Echorouk forum said; “It is a grave mistake that the Sunnis draw their arrows toward Iran as the so-called danger threatening the region, and forget about the Zionist entity, which is in fact the real threat to all Muslims worldwide”.

Sheikh Ikrima wonders about the feasibility of involving the Muslims in the sectarian conflict, confirming that many of the Sunnis do not represent the Sunni community, and are scattered, while the unity should be their main objective, particularly since the road to freedom must pass through solidarity and not disunity .

Sheikh Ikrima also confirmed that the blame and accusations must be directed to Israel instead of Iran, wondering: “How can we describe the one who reduces the danger of Iran and what agenda does he serve?” answering: “It’s obviously an American agenda”.

In a related context, the Sheikh pointed to the conflict between the supporters of the resistance and opposition, particularly those who denounce Iran which provide support for the palestinian resistance, wondering: “ What do the rest of the Arabs give for the resistance to say that it should be dispensed of Iran’s support?”.

He further expressed regret at the lackluster situation of the Arab nation, saying it serves the interests of its enemy and makes it the focus of their ambitions.
