Algeria: 13 Agencies of technical control of vehicles shut down due to serious breaches
The National Establishment of Automobile Technical Control (Enacta) decided in 2011 the closing down of 13 agencies of technical control of vehicles and the suspension of 58 control agents for not having respected the regulations and the book of specifications, according to Enacta General Manager, Mr Abdallah Leghrib.

Mr Leghrib told the National Radio that his establishment had beefed up the control program for the various agencies in order to allow them to accomplish their task properly and in line with the regulations in force.
He also indicated that around 230.000 new vehicles were put into circulation in the course of the year 2011.
- The Enacta General Manager finally underscored that the countless technical control operations carried out by the various approved agencies had led to the pulling out of circulation of 208.746 vehicles while 480.998 others had been subjected to a second control operation.
