Algeria: 20,000 vacant jobs in police, customs and civil protection

Algeria’s Civil Protection, Police and Customs will open 20,000 vacant jobs in September. Of them, 4,500 positions in the Civil Protection as its General Director told Echorouk it wants to reach 70,000 employees.

“The new jobs are for ordinary agents. Applicants must have junior high school level minimum and a professional capacity certificate and be between 20 and 28,” Colonel Mustapha Lahbiri said.

Applicants for Lieutenant Doctor must have Doctorate degree in general medicine or an equivalent diploma and be between 25 and 35. Lieutenant position requires architecture degree or engineering decree in scientific and technical majors.

According to sources at the National Police, employment process ill touch all the positions. The number of vacant jobs is estimated at 3,580. Examination tests date will be announced later.

As for customs, a total of 1,300 vacant jobs will be opened starting from September 15th. The jobs include guards, control agents and principal inspectors. Applicants for the position of guard must have the level of first year in high school while applicants for control guard position must have had a specialized training course. Applicants for the position of principal inspector must be between 23 and 30 and have a licence degree.
