Algeria will remain supportive of Sahraoui people to achieve their independence of the Moroccan colonialism, as the Saharawi President, Mohamed Abdelaziz, asserted that “Victory is coming”, Chairman of the Advisory Commission for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights, Farouk Ksentini, said.

“We condemn the silence of the international community about the grave violations of human rights by the Moroccan occupier.”

Advisory Committee, which belongs to the Presidency of the Republic, awarded the Human Rights Prize of 2015 in its Second Edition, for the Saharawi President, Mohamed Abdelaziz.

“We gave President Bouteflika the prize, after his long struggle, both because he was Foreign Minister and after he became President, whether in the field of human rights or women’s rights, and the same reasons made us give this year’s award to the Saharawi President Mohamed Abdelaziz. This is a matter of principle; any person who is struggling for the Sahrawi people right is struggling for human rights.”

Ksentini denied any political background to give the award to the Sahraoui President, and he meant Morocco, as he stated; “This prize is not a compliment, but for reasons that are consistent with the man’s struggle. There are no political reasons for revenge of than any other country, but we honored you Mr. President for your struggle, “It is no secret that a reprisal of any state was addressed to Morocco”.

For his part, the Saharawi President, Mohamed Abdelaziz, condemned the international silence towards the Moroccan colonial crimes, and said: “The international community is still watching, in front of the most egregious violations of international law and international humanitarian law, and in front of the illegal occupation of Morocco which violates the Sahraoui people’s right to self-determination.

“There are a large number of Morocco’s heinous crimes, against the Sahrawi people since 1976 and that through the bombing with napalm and phosphorus bombs.”

Abdelaziz stopped at the Algerian position of the Sahraoui issue and said: “History will maintain its honorable position. I received the Moroccans who fled the tyranny that is now drowning the world in drugs.
