Algeria calls for a Maghreb Ministerial Meeting to discuss Security in the region

Rabat- Algeria Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci called upon Maghreb countries to hold a meeting in Algeria in order to discuss security in the region.

 

In his intervention during the 30th session of the Maghreb Countries’ Foreign Ministers, Mourad Medelci said that Algeria included the issue of security on the agenda of this meeting and recommends a real and affective cooperation in this field, and concerted efforts to address the risks that threaten the region.

In the same context, the minister called for the coordination of efforts to combat terrorism and organized crime, arms smuggling and illegal immigration as well.

Medelci asserted that these dangers threaten the stability and peace in the region, and security of persons and property as well, which requires more vigilance and cooperation of all parties.
