Algeria Calls For Emergency Security Council Session

Algeria called on Saturday for an emergency and open session of the Security Council next Tuesday regarding the latest massacre of the Zionist occupation against Palestinians, at the Tabeen School in the Daraj neighborhood in the Gaza Strip.
The request to hold this urgent meeting, according to what a diplomatic source reported, comes on the basis on the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories Especially after the savage air strike launched by the Zionist occupation army on a school in Gaza.
The request to hold the meeting was submitted in consultation with Palestine, and with the support of other member states of the Security Council, the source explained.
The Zionist occupation army admitted to bombing the Tabeen School, which houses about 2,000 displaced persons, which resulted in the martyrdom of 100 Palestinians who were performing the dawn prayer inside the school.
The UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in the Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, expressed her disapproval of the new Zionist massacre against the oppressed Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Ms Albanese said in a statement to Al Jazeera: “Civilized countries cannot accept the genocide committed by “Israel” against the Palestinians.”  Stressing: “How can the world accept this barbaric genocide?”
