Algeria Contributes $ 2 Million Dollars To African Fund To Tackle Corona Virus Pandemic
On Wednesday, President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune announced Algeria’s contribution of two million dollars to the African Fund to tackle the Corona virus pandemic.
In a speech during the extraordinary Chinese-African summit devoted to solidarity to combat the emerging pandemic of the Corona virus, which took place through remote communication technology, President Tebboune stressed that: “my country, in coordination with neighboring countries and friendly countries, is helping the latter develop a plan of action that allows to lessen the severity of the effects of this pandemic”.
He added that “Algeria contributed financially two million dollars in the fund to finance the efforts to combat the pandemic established by African countries, and also appointed former finance minister Abderahmane Benkhalfa as a special envoy of the African Union in the framework of the latter’s ongoing efforts to combat the Covid 19 pandemic”.
