Algeria-Egypt play-off: Khartoum is destination of thousands fans
A total of 533 Algerian fans went to Khartoum from Cairo on Tuesday for World Cup qualification play-off while the Sudanese government says it is expecting 48 flights from Algeria and 18 from Egypt, with a further 2,000 fans from neighbouring Egypt.

An official at Air Algerie said all the fans in Egypt were transported in three flights.

Sudan allocated 9,000 seats for Algeria and Egypt each. Local authorities mobilised 15,000 policemen to prevent any violent acts among fans.
