Algeria flag offender pupils brought to justice
Algerian education ministry will prosecute four high school pupils banned from school for offending the national flag, minister said Saturday.

“Four high school pupils who detracted from the national flag during catch up classes at the Okba Lycée in Algiers will be brought to justice,” Abu Bekr Ben bouzid told a news agency in Algiers.

“They are behaviors that we will never tolerate,” he said.

The incident stormed the education community in the district as the pupils torn dawn the national flag and hanged instead a flag of France (the former colonizer of Algeria).

Ben Bouzid noted down the “disgraceful character of such behaviors” while “high school pupils, during the national liberation war, left schools to fight the French colonialism.”
